MR. FRIGHTS: After seeing "Surprise", your winning short horror movie, the first question that comes to mind is... how does a comedy duo produce one of the scariest, realistic, horror shorts?-
MIKE: (English accent) What are the two most used forms of humor? People either insulting each other or physical comedy. Humor and horror are both steeped in pain. It's the manner in which the pain is delivered which makes it funny. We're just good at seeing both the comedy AND the tragedy.
IKE: (Southern accent) And pot helps.
MIKE: Yes, it does.
MR. FRIGHTS: Do you guys have favorite horror movies, directors, anything that might influence your work in horror?-
MIKE: We're fans of Wes Craven, Todd Browning, James Wan, George Romero, of course.
IKE: We used ta like Rob Zombie, but his director's cut a Halloween II was just wrong.
MIKE: Very wrong.
IKE: For movies: Susperia, Dead Silence.
MIKE: Puppets are creepy.
IKE: Takashi Miike's Audition.
BOTH: Requiem for a Dream.
IKE: And the most disturbin' flick of all time: High School Musical 3.
MIKE: Nightmares for months.
MR. FRIGHTS: This once a year horror movie thing you've got going, is this something you'll continue for a while?-
MIKE: It will continue for as long as we think it's necessary.
MR. FRIGHTS: I know the once a year thing makes it special, but do you think you'll ever do a horror short outside what you've done yearly so far?-
IKE: We kinda like doin' the once a year thing. Makes it kinda special. The fans know it's comin,' they know it's gonna be intense.
MIKE: However, we would certainly bend the rules if someone paid us.
MR. FRIGHTS: Can you tell us a little about your background in filmmaking?-
MIKE: We don't have any.
IKE: Nope. Not one bit.
MIKE: We watch a lot of films however.

GRAB BAG QUESTIONS
MR. FRIGHTS: Do you ever say "I'll be right back" and then worry that you shouldn't have said that and that you might end up not coming back?-
BOTH: Yes.
MR. FRIGHTS: Why is it you think most modern day supernatural slashers or monsters prefer to terrorize Americans? (Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Chucky, etc. all American, Only one I can think of that has been outside the realm of the U.S.A. is Pin Head)-
IKE: Slasher victims are kinda dumb and let's face it, there's a lotta stupid Americans out there.
MIKE: I'm sitting next to one.
IKE: Gimmie the keyboard, limey.
MIKE: NO!
MR. FRIGHTS: Can you tell us anything about this years special horror short from Mike & Ike?-
IKE: It's comin.'
MIKE: ISAAC!
IKE: Fine! You give the spoilers.
MIKE: We like to describe Surprise as one actress, one camera, a little blood, and a lot of emotional pain. We like to describe this year's short as...
MR. FRIGHTS: Since "Surprise" was about zombies... I need to know where you stand - Fast or slow zombies?-
IKE: We answered this question in our first podcast, thanks for listenin.'
MIKE: But for those playing catch up, here it is again.
IKE: Slow=zombies
Fast=infected
MIKE: Speaking of catch up.
IKE: Oooh! Falcor!
MR. FRIGHTS: If you were held hostage, and were given a chance to escape if you offered one part of your body for extraction/dismemberment... What part would you offer up and why?-
MIKE: Pinky toe. I don't need it.
IKE: My eyelids, cause I would look so cool!
MIKE: You know--
IKE: If I was KIDNAPPED!
MIKE: (Short pause) But you'd look so cool!
IKE: No.
MIKE: Damn.
MR. FRIGHTS: Between the comedy of The Mike And Ike show and the horror in "Surprise" you seem to do both really well, but have you ever thought of merging the comedy and the horror into a short?-
BOTH: No.
IKE: We're savin' that for our first feature.
MIKE: The script for it is written, very intense, and pretty damn funny.
IKE: And if anybody has any questions about it--
MIKE: Or wants to give us money to make it.
IKE: Ya can email us at
ItsMikeandIke@yahoo.com
MIKE: And on that note
BOTH: Namaste.
